1930 Gibson sales letter

This is a form sales letter sent out by Frank Campbell, Gibson’s Sales Manager, on May 13, 1930.  “Why should you attempt to produce beautiful music on an inferior instrument”, the letter asks,  “when you can know the joy of owning a genuine GIBSON–a real ‘pal’–an instrument built for you by the world’s largest manufacturer and endorsed by the world’s greatest artists.”
