Gibson MB-3 #8228-27

In the early years of Gibson banjos, the mandolin banjo was extremely popular.  This style 3 instrument dates to early 1926 (see Gibson banjo serial numbers vs. factory order numbers) and shares the nickel-plated hardware, red-stained maple,  and diamonds and squares inlays of the TB-3; it departs from standard style 3 specifications, however, with its “The Gibson” peghead inlay and its scalloped flange.
